Beat:

4 eggs
2 1/4 c. sugar

Add:

4 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
4 c. heavy cream
5 c. milk

I use 2 pints of Half and Half and enough milk to fill within 3 inches of the top of the freezer.
