"FRANNIE BELL'S" COCONUT POUND
CAKE
 
2 c. sugar
1 c. Crisco
5 eggs
1/2 c. milk
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. coconut flavoring

Cream sugar and Crisco. Add eggs, flour, baking powder and salt. Then add milk and coconut flavoring. Beat well. Fold in coconut.

Bake in a tube or Bundt pan which has been greased and floured.

Bake at 350°F for approximately 1 hour.

Glaze:

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. cold water
1 tsp. coconut flavoring

Boil 1 minute. Pour over cake while cake is hot.
