CANDY ORANGE SLICE CAKE | |
1 lb. candy orange slices 2 c. pecans 2 sticks butter 2 c. sugar 4 c. flour 1 1/2 c. buttermilk 1 tsp. baking soda 4 farm eggs Cut candy, dates and nuts in small pieces. Save cut up overnight in pan. Sift 2 cups flour over first mixture. Mix well and bake 2 1/2 hours at 275 degrees. While hot mix 2 cups brown sugar with 1 cup frozen or fresh orange juice. Pour over cake. |
