DIVINITY FUDGE 
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. corn syrup
1/2 c. water
2 egg whites
1 tbsp. vanilla
3/4 c. candied cherries or nuts

Mix sugar, water, corn syrup in a saucepan. Stir over heat until sugar dissolves, then let mixture boil without stirring to the light crack stage (265 degrees F.). While mixture cooks, beat egg whites until stiff. When mixture is ready, pour slowly over egg whites, beating constantly. Beat until creamy, add nuts or cherries and vanilla. Pour into a buttered pan or drop by spoonful onto wax paper.
