BAKED CHICKEN JOLLOP | |
1 lg. fryer or sm. hen 1 lg. onion, diced 1 can mushroom soup 1/4 stick butter 1/3 c. milk 1 sleeve saltine crackers (crushed), I use a little more 1 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 tbsp. Heinz sauce 1/8 tsp. black pepper Dash of hot sauce Cook chicken with 1/2 onion, bone and cut up. Into chicken broth add rest of diced onion, butter, milk and mushroom soup and other seasonings. Cook 5 minutes. Add cut up chicken. Mix well. Add crushed crackers to make a medium thick mixture. Pour into greased casserole dish. Bake approximately 1 hour at 350 degrees or until brown. |
