CINNAMON NUTS 
1 c. sugar
1 c. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 c. boiling water

Mix and boil until firm ball stage. Add 1 1/2 cups walnut halves, cool slightly and add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Stir until mixture sugars, turn onto flat surface and separate nuts. Let cool thoroughly and put into airtight container. May be frozen.
