SOUR CREAM BROWNIES 
1 egg
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. sour cream
2/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. nuts, chopped

Beat eggs and sugar. Add sour cream and beat again. Sift dry ingredients. Add gradually to egg mixture, beat smooth. Add nuts and vanilla. Place in greased 8" pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Cut into squares.

I used this recipe when I didn't have enough butter to make other brownie recipes. It turns out ok. Chocolatey enough, but it is missing that luxurious moisture. It's more like cake. But great when you can't use butter!
