1/2 pt. heavy whipping cream, chilled
1 clean clothes pin
1 pt. Mason jar w/lid
Dash of salt (optional)

Pour whipping cream and salt into jar. Place clothes pin in jar and cap tightly. Shake, shake, shake until cream turns to butter. Pour off "buttermilk" and you have home-made butter to spread on bread. Refrigerate what's left for tomorrow's breakfast.
