SCRUMPTIOUS CARAMEL SQUARES 
14 oz. caramels
1/3 c. milk
2 c. Bisquick
2 c. quick oats
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. butter, melted
6 oz. chocolate bits
1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Heat caramels and milk in 2 quart pan over low heat; stirring constantly. Stir until melted and smooth. Remove from heat. Mix Bisquick, oats, and brown sugar. Stir in butter until crumbly. Press half of this mixture in 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake 10 minutes.

Sprinkle chocolate bits over baked layer; drizzle caramel mixture over nuts. Sprinkle with remaining crumbly mixture; press lightly. Bake until golden brown, about 15 to 20 minutes. Loosen edges from sides of pan and cut into 1 1/2 inch squares. Cool completely before removing from pan. (54 squares.)
