GREEN CHILI LASAGNE 
1 pkg. (8 oz.) lasagne noodles
2 lb. ground beef
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 lg. onions, minced
1 tsp. basil (optional)
1 jar (32 oz.) spaghetti sauce
2 cans (4 oz. each) green chilies
1 lb. sm. curd cottage cheese
1 lb. longhorn cheese, grated

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook noodles according to package directions; drain. Combine beef, oil, garlic, onion and basil in a large skillet and simmer for 1 hour. Lightly oil an 8 x 15 inch dish.

Line the bottom with noodles, then a thin layer of meat. Then add half a can of chopped green chilies, then 1/3 of the cottage cheese. Sprinkle longhorn cheese over the entire surface and top with 1/4 of a jar of sauce. Repeat until all ingredients are used. End with noodles. Add water and bake 1 hour. Serves 8.
