3 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 2 tsp. baking powder 3/4 stick butter 1 c. sugar 1 egg, beaten in 1/2 c. milk 1 c. raisins, scalded and cooled Cover raisins with enough water to boil, scald and cool. Sift together flour, salt and baking powder. Cut in butter and add sugar. Mix in egg and milk, then add scalded raisins. Roll out dough on floured board and cut into thick rounds at least 1 inch thick. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. |
