EASY TOFFEE 
1 c. chopped walnuts
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. semi sweet chocolate chips

Butter an 8"x8"x2" pan (shallower would be better). Sprinkle nuts on bottom. In 1 1/2 quart saucepan, combine butter and sugar. Cook over medium heat to soft crack, 290 degrees, stirring often. Remove from heat and spread over nuts. Sprinkle chocolate pieces on top. Let stand 1 to 2 minutes. When soft, spread evenly over toffee. Chill, break in pieces. Makes about 1 pound.
