SCOTCH TOFFEE BARS | |
1/2 c. butter, melted 2 c. quick cooking rolled oats 1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed 1/4 c. dark corn syrup 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. salt 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate morsels 1/4 c. chopped nuts Combine butter, oats, brown sugar, corn syrup, vanilla, and salt in 3 quart utility dish. Press firmly again bottom of dish. Cook in microwave, full power for 2-3 minutes, or until bubbling all over. Smooth surface. Top with chocolate morsels. Heat in microwave for 1 minute or until chocolate morsels are melted. Spread chocolate evenly over bottom crust. Sprinkle with nuts. Chill. Cut into bars. Store in airtight container in refrigerator. |
