SCOTCH TOFFEE BARS 
1/2 c. butter, melted
2 c. quick cooking rolled oats
1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 c. dark corn syrup
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate morsels
1/4 c. chopped nuts

Combine butter, oats, brown sugar, corn syrup, vanilla, and salt in 3 quart utility dish. Press firmly again bottom of dish.

Cook in microwave, full power for 2-3 minutes, or until bubbling all over. Smooth surface. Top with chocolate morsels. Heat in microwave for 1 minute or until chocolate morsels are melted. Spread chocolate evenly over bottom crust. Sprinkle with nuts. Chill. Cut into bars. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
