GOLDEN BARS 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. quick cooking rolled oats
1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
3/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 egg
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Combine all the ingredients but the nuts. A large mixing bowl is best to use. Mix slowly until well blended on low speed. Then stir in the nuts and pour in 8 inch buttered pan. Bake at 350 degrees until done. Cool and cut into 24 bars.
