2 1/2 lbs. lg. gumdrops, cut into thirds (omit black)
2 lbs. seedless white raisins
9 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Mix dry ingredients and sift together. Dredge candy and raisins in 1 cup flour mixture. 4 c. sugar 2 tsp. vanilla 4 eggs 3 c. applesauce 2 c. hot water
