FLUFFY WHITE CAKE | |
1/3 c. butter 1/3 c. Spry 2 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. lemon extract 1 tsp. vanilla 2 tbsp. boiling water 3 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 4 tsp. baking powder 1 1/2 c. cold water 4 egg whites, stiffly beaten Cream shortening and sugar. Add flavorings and boiling water, beating 1 minute. Add dry ingredients with cold water. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Grease pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes. Makes 3 (8") layers or a 13"x10" pan. |
