CRANBERRY NUT BREAD 
1 c. fresh cranberries, ground
1 1/4 c. sugar
3 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. grated orange rind
1 c. milk
2 tbsp. melted butter
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 c. nuts

Add 1/4 cup sugar to ground cranberries and set aside. Sift together remaining sugar, flour, baking powder and salt. To this dry mixture add orange rind and blend in milk, butter, egg and nuts. Fold in sweetened cranberries and pour into a greased loaf pan. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 1 hour.

NOTE: This seasonal bread is good for either the Thanksgiving or the Christmas holidays. It always meets with popularity.
