CRANBERRY NUT BREAD 
1 c. fresh washed cranberries, chopped
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 tbsp. grated orange peel
2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tbsp. shortening (oleo)
3/4 c. orange juice
1 egg, well beaten

Mix together flour, baking soda, salt and baking powder. Cut in shortening. Stir in orange juice, egg and orange peel, mixing until moistened. Fold in cranberries and nuts. Spoon into well greased and floured bread pan. Bake 1 hour in 350 degree oven. Cool on rack 15 minutes. Remove from pan and cool on rack completely.

Will make 5 to 6 small loaves. Bake them at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
