SWEET POTATO CASSEROLE 
1 (40 oz., 2 lb.) can drained yams
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 beaten eggs
1/3 stick butter, softened
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix well and put in buttered dish, 9x9 or 10x13-inch (at least 1-inch deep). Mix with mixer.

Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Topping:

1 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. all-purpose flour
1/3 stick butter

Cream and put on top of mixture. Put chopped pecans on top and bake (1 to 1 1/2 cups).

Note: Should be dark brown when done.
