GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
3 or 4 pieces bacon, minced
2 med. onions, minced
1 c. water
1/2 c. sweet pickle juice
3 tsp. salt
Dash pepper
1/2 c. sugar
3 tbsp. flour

Fry the bacon crisp then mince. Take all but 1 tablespoon bacon grease out of fry pan. Add water, pickle juice, salt, pepper, sugar and thicken with flour. Let simmer for 1/2 hour.

Boil potatoes and peel. Cool to room temperature then slice as thin possible putting some at a time in a dish and putting a little sauce on top as you add more potatoes until all is together.
