SPICY MEAT TACOS 
1 (9 oz.) pkg. frozen tortillas
Oil
2 tbsp. butter
2 med. onions, chopped
2 sm. green peppers, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
2 lbs. lean ground beef
2 tsp. Angostura aromatic bitters
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (4 oz.) can sweet green chilies, chopped
Salt and cayenne pepper to taste
2 med. tomatoes, thinly sliced and halved
1/2 head Iceberg lettuce, shredded

Thaw tortillas as directed on package; separate. Fry tortillas in shallow oil. Fold in half when soft; hold and fry until crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.

Melt butter; saute onions, green peppers, and garlic until golden and tender. Add beef; cook until brown. Drain off excess fat and juices. Add Angostura bitters, tomato sauce, chilies, salt and cayenne pepper. Simmer until very hot. Fill fried tortillas; top each taco with tomato slices and shredded lettuce. Yield: 12 tacos.
