SPICY ORIENTAL BEEF 
1 lb. skirt steak, sliced thin on diagonal
3 tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. soy sauce
2 crushed garlic cloves
1/2 piece ginger root, crushed or minced
Freshly ground pepper
2 tbsp. oil

In wok or large skillet, heat oil until very hot. Add soy sauce, cloves, ginger. Stir rapidly with wooden spoon until garlic turns golden. Add sugar and pepper. Stir well. Add beef strips. Stir quickly until done (only a few minutes). Serve with white rice or long, fine noodles. Serves 4.
