CRANBERRY APPLE TART | |
1 1/4 c. all purpose flour 2 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1/3 c. butter 1 egg yolk 2 tbsp. brandy or milk 2 c. sliced, peeled apples 1 c. cranberries 3/4 c. sugar 1/4 c. rolled oats 2 tbsp. all purpose flour 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 2 tbsp. butter In medium bowl, stir together 1 1/4 cups flour, 2 tablespoons sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in 1/3 cup butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Combine egg yolk and brandy; add to dry ingredients and mix well. Press onto bottom and up sides of 9 inch tart pan or springform pan. Arrange apple slices over crust. Sprinkle with cranberries. In bowl mix 3/4 cup sugar, oats, 2 tablespoons flour and cinnamon. Cut in butter. Sprinkle over fruit. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes. Cool slightly, remove sides of pan. |
