APPLE TART DUTCH 
5 med. apples, quartered, cored & pared
1 tbsp. flour
1 c. sugar
1 pastry shell
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 tbsp. butter

Line an 8-inch round baking dish with pastry. Sprinkle a mixture of the flour and 1/4 cup sugar on bottom of pastry. Put the apples, cut side down, on the pastry. Sprinkle with a mixture of the remaining sugar and nutmeg; dot with butter. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes or until apples are tender and a rich syrup has formed.
