COFFEE CAKE 
FILLING:

2 tbsp. soft butter
1 c. walnuts, chopped
1 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 apple, sliced thin
2 tbsp. flour

Mix together carefully.

BATTER:

1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. sour cream
1/2 c. milk
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. flour

Cream eggs and sugar until fluffy, then alternate liquid and dry ingredients. Pour half of batter into 8 x 11 inch pan which has been oiled. Add half of filling mixture, batter and top with the rest of the filling mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Serve warm or cold.
