FAVORITE BRAN MUFFINS 
2 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. molasses
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
2 1/2 tbsp. melted shortening
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 1/2 c. bran
1/2 c. raisins

Beat eggs. Add sugar, molasses, buttermilk and shortening. Sift flour, salt, baking soda. Add flour mixture to liquid mixture. Add bran and raisins. Mix thoroughly. Fill well greased muffin tins 2/3 full and bake in hot oven (400 degrees - preheat) for 25 minutes. Makes 18 muffins.
