MOUNTAIN HIGH CAKE 
1 box orange layer cake mix
1 box (not instant) coconut cream pie filling
1 c. pure vegetable shortening
4 eggs
1 (12 oz.) can Mountain Dew

FILLING:

1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1 (3 1/2 oz.) can coconut
3 tbsp. flour

CAKE: Mix ingredients and pour batter into three prepared layer pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

FILLING: Bring all ingredients except coconut to boil over medium heat. Remove from heat and stir in coconut. Let cool 15 minutes. Spread between layers and on top of cake.
