SAUSAGE BARS OR CAKE 
1 c. unseasoned sausage
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar

1 c. milk
1 c. raisins

1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. nutmeats

Spread batter evenly in a 9 x 13 inch pan for bars (batter will not spread itself) and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. OR - bake in 8 x 8 inch pan for cake. Cake may take a little longer to bake.

CARAMEL FROSTING:

1 1/3 c. sugar
6 tbsp. milk
7 tbsp. butter

1/2 c. caramel chips

Beat until melted and creamy. Cake may also be served with caramel sauce, ice cream or Cool Whip.
