RAISIN BARS 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. raisins, cooked
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
Nuts; optional
1 c. butter
1 c. raisin liquid
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 eggs

Cream butter, sugar, and eggs. Add flour, spices, liquid, and raisins. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Use a jelly roll pan.

FROSTING FOR BARS:

1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. milk
2 c. powdered sugar

Melt butter in pan, add brown sugar. Boil over low heat 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Add milk and stir until mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat. Add powdered sugar. Beat well and spread.
