SWEDISH HASSELBACK POTATOES 
6 lg. potatoes
3 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. dry bread crumbs
4 tbsp. grated cheese
1 tsp. salt

Peel potatoes. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Place peeled potatoes on a flat surface. Make slices vertically about 2/3 through potatoes and 1/8 inch apart. Slices should be joined at the bottom.

Place potatoes cut side up in a buttered baking dish. Pour 1 1/2 tablespoons melted butter over potatoes. Sprinkle with salt. Baste with butter. Bake 30 minutes.

Sprinkle bread crumbs and cheese over potatoes. Return to oven 15 more minutes until potatoes feel soft when tested with toothpick.
