CRANBERRY - ORANGE BREAD 
2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. shortening
Grate rind & juice of 1 orange plus water to make 3/4 c.
1 egg, beaten
1 c. raw cranberries, cut in half
1/2 c. nuts (opt.)

Grease 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Measure flour by dip, level or pour method. Blend dry ingredients. Mix in shortening, orange rind, juice and egg. Fold in cranberries, pour into loaf pan. Bake 1 hour. Cool thoroughly, cut with a thin sharp knife.
