SWEET-SOUR MEATBALLS 
1 beaten egg
1/4 c. milk
3/4 c. soft bread crumbs
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 lb. ground pork
1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. raisins
2 tbsp. cooking oil
1 1/4 c. cranberry juice cocktail
1 (8 oz.) can whole cranberry sauce
1/2 c. bottled barbecue sauce
1/2 c. thin green pepper strips
1/2 c. cold water
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. sliced almonds

Mix first 8 ingredients and shape into 36 (1-inch) meatballs. Brown in hot oil in skillet; drain off fat.

Combine juice, sauces, 1/4 teaspoon salt and dash of pepper. Pour over meatballs; bring to boiling. Cover; simmer 15 minutes. Add green pepper; simmer 5 minutes. Blend water into cornstarch; add to skillet; cook until thick. Sprinkle almonds on top.
