APPLE CUSTARD PIE 
Line a 9-inch pie plate with pastry. Mix 2 tablespoons of flour with 1/4 cup sugar and sprinkle over pastry.

Pare, core and halve 3 apples and arrange in pastry shell. Beat 1 egg, add 1 1/2 cups of milk and pour over apples.

Sift together: 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 3/4 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Sprinkle over top. Bake in a hot oven, 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to moderate, 350 degrees, and bake 25 to 30 minutes longer, or until an inserted knife comes out clean.
