RAISIN JUICE COOKIES 
1 c. raisins, cooked
3/4 c. shortening
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. nuts, chopped
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
6 tbsp. juice from cooking raisins
1 c. oatmeal
Pinch of salt

Cook raisins in enough water so you will have 6 tablespoons of juice leftover. Dissolve soda in hot raisin juice. Cream sugar and shortening. Drop in eggs and beat well. Add other ingredients and drop by teaspoon on cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees. These cookies stay nice and moist.
