2 c. quick cooking oats
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. honey
1/2 c. chocolate bits
1/4 c. peanut butter

In medium bowl, combine oats, brown sugar, butter, and honey. Microwave at high for 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 minutes, or until bubbly, stirring 2 times. Spread in an 8x8 inch baking dish. Cool.

In small bowl, combine chocolate bits and peanut butter. Microwave at high for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or until chocolate bits are soft, stirring once. Stir and spread over oatmeal base. Cool. Cut into 16 squares about 2 inches each.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.

Loved your easy microwave recipe. I made a couple of changes to me personal taste. The first version was to melt 1/2 cup crunchy peanut better instead of the chocolate chips. The second version was to add 1cup chopped walnut. I have doubled the recipe. I make this once a week. This has been a tool in my weight lose program. I eat these bars as part of a healthy snack. I have even added them to fresh fruit & yogurt. Keep the great recipes coming.
Sincerely Kathlene Rogers
