UNUSUAL RICE CASSEROLE 
8 oz. long grain white rice
4 oz. frozen green peas
2 oz. salted peanuts
1 lg. onion, chopped
1/2 tsp. turmeric
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 tbsp. butter
Salt to taste

Cook rice as directed on package. Heat butter in saucepan. Add onion and spices. When lightly browned, add peas and nuts. Cover and simmer 10 minutes. Add rice. Stir well. Remove from heat. Serve.
