OLD FEDBERRY INN PICKLES | |
1 gallon sour pickles, drained 5 lbs. sugar 1 c. vinegar 1 box pickling spices Cut pickles into 1 inch pieces and let stand in ice water for 45 minutes. Pour off water. Put in layers, in large container, pickles, sugar, and spices until all are used. Pour the cup of vinegar over top of this. Let stand 8 days. Stir every day. After 8 days, heat and put in jars and seal. Do not allow to boil. A very sweet pickle that is good to use for holiday serving. |
