COOKED CABBAGE 
Cabbage sliced into 1 inch - 2 inch wedges
Melted butter
Salt and pepper to taste

Cabbage must never be cooked long. Otherwise it acquires a strong taste. Place the cabbage wedges into a large pot of boiling water. Cover the pot and gently boil until tender - about 7 minutes. Drain, serve with melted butter and season with salt and pepper.
