CHERRY AND POPPY SEED TWINKER COOKIES | |
1 c. powdered sugar 1 c. butter, softened 1 tsp. vanilla 1 egg 2 c. flour 2 tbsp. poppy seed 1/2 tsp. sea salt 1/3 to 1/2 c. cherry preserves Heat oven to 300 degrees. Beat powdered sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and eggs, then add flour, poppy seed, and sea salt. Spoon on baking sheet. With finger, make a fingerprint, then add filling (jelly). Bake 20 to 25 minutes. Immediately remove from cookie sheet. Makes about 2 1/2 dozen. |
