1 c. sugar
3/4 c. shortening
2 eggs, well beaten
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. sour cream
1 c. raisins

Cream shortening and sugar. Add the well beaten eggs and mix well. Sift dry ingredients. Add to egg mixture alternately with the cup of sour cream. Add raisins. Drop on greased cookie sheet. Sprinkle on some sugar if desired. Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 375 degrees. Makes about 4 dozen.
