KIM'S APPLE CRISP 
8 apples (golden delicious are good)
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. whole wheat flour
3/4 c. raisins (optional)
Water or apple juice

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Slice apples until you have enough to fill a greased 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Mix apples in a bowl with cinnamon, flour and raisins if you want them. Return apples to the baking dish, adding enough water or apple juice to cover the bottom of the dish.

TOPPING:

1 c. oats
1/3 c. toasted wheat germ or oat bran
1/2 c. whole wheat flour or barley flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. honey
1/3 c. oil

Mix topping in a bowl by mixing dry ingredients together, then adding honey and oil mixture. Spread topping on top of apples. Bake for 25 minutes or until apples are soft. Serves 8.
