SPICED APPLES 
2 to 3 lb. Delicious or McIntosh apples
5 to 6 cloves
Cinnamon
Nutmeg
Brown sugar
2 (1 1/2 oz.) boxes raisins

Peel and core apples; cut into slices or bite-size cubes. Place in large saucepan with raisins; sprinkle with brown sugar, nutmeg and cloves. Toss gently; cook over low heat until tender, approximately 1/2 hour. Stir occasionally. May be served as side dish with pork, ham or turkey; also makes a great dessert when served warm over vanilla ice cream.
