3 c. flour 2 tsp. cream of tartar 1 c. butter 1 c. sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. baking soda 3-4 tbsp. milk Mix flour, cream of tartar, butter and sugar like pie crust. Make a well in middle and add eggs, vanilla, soda and milk. Best to handle and roll out if mixed up dry before and leave in refrigerator all night. One third of dough is plenty to rill at once. Use plenty of flour under dough. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 350 degrees for 7 to 8 minutes or until cookie starts to brown, depends on thickness. Ice with powdered sugar icing and decorate according to holiday. |
