CUBED STEAKS AU POIVRE | |
4 beef cube steaks (1 lb.) 1 1/2 tsp. black pepper 1 tsp. salt 3 tbsp. butter 1/3 c. water 1 tsp. lemon juice 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce Sprinkle steaks with salt and pepper. Melt butter in skillet over medium heat. Brown meat on both sides, about 4 minutes. Push to side of skillet. Into drippings stir water, lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well and put some of the sauce on steaks and serve. |
