SWEET SOUR TURKEY | |
1 1/2 inch vegetable oil in wok Heat 350 (I use deep fat fryer). MARINADE: 2 eggs, slightly beaten 3 tbsp. cornstarch 3 tbsp. vegetable oil 1 tbsp. light soy sauce (I use reg. dark) 1/4 tsp. white pepper (I don't use) Combine. Add turkey cubes. Cover and refrigerate for 20 minutes. FRYING COATING: 1 c. flour 1 c. water 4 tbsp. cornstarch 1 tsp. salt (or less) 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda Mix, add turkey pieces in batches. Stir and coat. Fry about 20 pieces at a time about 4 minutes. Drain on paper towels. DIP: 1 c. sugar 3/4 c. turkey broth 1/2 c. white vinegar 1 tbsp. vegetable oil 1 tbsp. dark soy sauce 2 cloves garlic, minced (I don't use) Combine and bring to boil in a large container. |
