| SWEET POTATO PIE | |

3 med. sweet potatoes, cooked and mashed 2 sticks butter, melted 2 c. sugar 4 eggs 1 tsp. nutmeg or cinnamon 2 tbsp. flour 1 sm. can (1/2 c.) evaporated milk 1/2 tsp. vanilla 2 deep dish, 9 inch pie shells Stir butter into sweet potatoes, add sugar, add eggs, one at a time, beating well. Add remaining ingredients, mix well. Pour into pie shells and bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. | |

Not sure this is the recipe that my mother used to make as I lost it in a move. BUT I've been looking for something at least close to what she made and this seems like it's it! I just do not remember the flour or the evaporated milk. Seems like she used sweetened condensed milk. I'm trying it this way with my ingredients this time and I'll let you know how it comes out!
