OATMEAL CAKE 
1 stick butter
1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 c. oatmeal (3 min.)
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. flour

Mix butter, water and oatmeal and let stand for 2 minutes. All other ingredients are mixed together in bowl. Add oatmeal mixture. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees.

OATMEAL CAKE ICING:

1 stick butter
1/2 c. Carnation evaporated milk
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. angel flake coconut

Pour over hot cake as it comes out of oven. Brown in broiler. Watch carefully. Wait several hours before serving.
