2 c. sugar
3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. allspice
1 c. butter
2 eggs
1 c. chopped nuts
7 to 8 apples

Core, peel and slice apples. Mix apples and sugar and let stand for 15 minutes. Sift flour and dry ingredients. Melt butter, whip eggs and add to apples, separately. Add sifted flour and mix by hand. Pour into 13 x 9 pan and bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 55 minutes.
