CARAMEL CHEX | |
1 c. butter 2 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. light corn syrup Dash of salt 1/2 tsp. baking soda 17.5 oz. box Corn Chex Boil butter, sugar, syrup and salt 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add 1/2 teaspoon baking soda. Mixture will foam. Stir in well. Pour 17.5 oz. box of Corn Chex into brown grocery bag. Pour caramel mixture into bag. Shake to mix. Microwave on high for 4 minutes, shaking bag at one minute intervals. Spread on wax paper and cool. |
