CRINKLE COOKIES 
2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. & 2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 c. dark molasses
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. ginger
3/4 c. shortening
1 egg

Sift together the flour, baking soda, salt, ginger and cinnamon. Cream shortening and 1 cup sugar, beat in egg thoroughly, then molasses. Stir in dry sifted ingredients until blended.

Roll into 1 inch size balls; roll in 2 tablespoons sugar. Place a couple of inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees about 15 minutes. Makes 4 dozen.
